"My wife and I develop commercial rental properties in Milwaukee. Our latest project is a block-long complex including an art gallery, a very successful Chinese restaurant, and the main part – a four-unit mini-shopping court, with the shops overlooking a spacious common area courtyard. We gutted the building to the bare brick walls, and after a four-year ordeal, the shopping court was finally complete. And even though we’d taken precautions to control infiltration, with floor-to-ceiling barriers, we had underestimated The Power of Chinese Cabbage. We noticed that our favorite local indoor-recreation area, the Potowatomi Bingo and Casino always smells faintly like a woodland lodge. Although the building is filled with restaurants, and people smoking, you don’t smell food unless you’re in a restaurant area, and you don’t smell cigarette smoke unless you’re sitting right next to someone who is smoking. My wife called the casino to see what sort of magic process they were using. They referred us to their air-control people: Prolitec, and gave us the number. The Prolitec representative was very helpful, and came out to our facility to assess our problem. His solution: a basic Air/Q unit. Of the many custom-designed scents, we chose the same scent used at Potowatomi -- Woodland.
The Air/Q unit made an immediate difference in our shopping center’s air quality. Cabbage and onion aromas were gone. Our greatest compliment came from an unsuspecting deliveryman.
